Representative of Bloomberg Beta with special role in the television start-up competition “The Daring”

Investment fund partner James Cham will share his priceless experience

James Cham is investor and partner in the early-stage venture capital fund, Bloomberg Beta, with $375 million under management. He will have a special role in the first Bulgarian television startup competition “The Daring” (Drazkite). He will be part of the mentoring team of the show, which Bloomberg TV Bulgaria will produce and air, where he will give his experience and will motivate the new companies to develop their entrepreneurial ideas for a better world.

Applications for participation in “The Daring” (Drazkite) have begun. Until 14 August representatives of start-ups can apply on the webpage of the project.

Bloomberg Beta has $375 million under management and is the first venture capital fund focused on investing in the future of work, and in artificial intelligence. The company is backed by Bloomberg L.P. – a global leader in business and financial data, news and insights. It turned out to be a major inspiration for the creation of Bloomberg Beta, as a prime example of how to build and grow a successful startup – based on a powerful idea, bringing transparency to markets, achieving global scale, with a strong and open culture that embraces technology, led by its founders for decades.

James Cham is a partner in Bloomberg Beta, where he focuses on investments in companies focused on the application of machine intelligence for the benefit of business and society. James previously invested with Trinity Ventures, with over five years of investing experience in consumer services, enterprise software and digital media companies. Prior to Trinity, James was a Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners where he was instrumental in eight new investments in consumer internet services, security and digital media sectors along with a number of seed investments. Earlier, he built web applications for start-ups as a Principal at Zefer and developed IT systems for Fortune 500 companies.

During the TV start-up competition “The Daring” (Drazkite), which will exclusively air on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria, a representative of the fund Bloomberg Beta, will share his rich experience. As a part of the mentoring team of the show, James Cham will inspire and help to shape start-ups in “The Daring” (Drazkite) to improve their innovative business ideas.

The deadline for applications to participate in the TV startup competition is 14 August and the unique format for the Bulgarian television will surprise the viewers during the new TV season this Autumn. More information for the project will find here: https://drazkite.bloombergtv.bg/.
