CEED Bulgaria launches “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship – Phase 2” under the Community Business Promotion Partner Program

The “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship – Phase 2” project under the Community Business Promotion Partner aims to enhance the entrepreneurial potential of women in rural Uzbekistan, particularly those living in challenging economic conditions. The program, implemented by the Project Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, will support around 2,500 women across five districts in Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region by providing training, small grants, and business development assistance. This initiative is part of the broader Second Rural Enterprises Development Project, financed through an agreement between Uzbekistan and the International Development Association (IDA). The project focuses on participatory and demand-driven investment strategies to foster inclusive rural economic growth.
