On April 17, 2025, an official event was held in Yangariq District, Khorezm Region, to mark the launch of the project and to raise awareness among local communities and stakeholders regarding the objectives, opportunities, and prospects of the initiative. The event was conducted within the framework of Subcomponent 1.4 “Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship” under the “Rural Entrepreneurship Development Project – Phase 2.”
The project team, in collaboration with representatives of the Khorezm regional branch of ZIP and the Mentorship Center of the Urgench District Business Incubator, held a series of meetings aimed at fostering local engagement and facilitating project implementation. These included:

A meeting with the Hokim of Yangariq District, Mr. Z. Matnazarov; Deputy Hokim of Khorezm Region for Family and Women’s Affairs, Ms. N. Kutlimuratova; and Deputy Hokim of Yangariq District for Family and Women’s Affairs, Ms. B. Kuchkarova;

A meeting with the First Deputy Hokim of Yangariq District, Mr. S. Jabarov;

A roundtable discussion with active women entrepreneurs from the district;

A meeting with representatives of the “O’zbekIpakSanoat” association.
During the discussions held at the district hokimiyat, key topics included the initiation of project activities, identification of a suitable venue for upcoming training sessions and workshops, and strategic directions for fostering entrepreneurial development in the region. Particular attention was given to job creation—especially for women—as well as enhancing the district’s economic development and improving the overall well-being of its population.
This event marks an important step toward empowering women and supporting inclusive growth through sustainable entrepreneurship in rural areas.
