The sixth working meeting between the project partners, CEED Bulgaria and the BCCI was held.

On April 14, the sixth working meeting under the project Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria” (FSMI in Bulgaria) was held. The project is jointly implemented by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED Bulgaria) and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Key project activities and upcoming initiatives were discussed during the meeting.

Gabriela Dimitrova, Director of International Cooperation and International Organizations at BCCI, presented an ongoing survey among employers in Bulgaria. The research aims to understand their attitudes and needs related to the employment of third-country nationals. The results will support the development of a practical guide for employers, which will be used during the project’s upcoming informational events.

From CEED Bulgaria, Deputy Executive Director Stanislav Chervenkov shared progress on organizing the project’s first major event – a national roundtable, planned for May–June 2025. The forum will bring together participants from national and local authorities, international and non-governmental organizations, academia, business associations, and chambers of commerce, as well as employers from various sectors.

BCCI representatives shared that the Chamber is actively involved in working meetings focused on accelerating procedures for the import of foreign labor. Targeted discussions are underway with partners from the Indian-Bulgarian Business Chamber, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, Confindustria Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, all of whom have been invited to participate in the upcoming roundtable.

An updated version of the project’s digital strategy, which is being developed within the framework of FSMI in Bulgaria, was also discussed during the meeting.
