CEED Bulgaria Empowers Women Entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan!

We are proud to share the progress of the Second Rural Enterprise Development Project, particularly the Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Sub-Component, led by CEED Bulgaria in partnership with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA).

🔹 From June 1–5, we delivered hands-on training to women from the Muynak, Kanlykul, and Bozatau districts (Karakalpakstan), followed by sessions from June 16–21 in Khazarasp and Yangiaryk districts (Khorezm region).

🚀 More than 250 women participated in practical training modules, including:
✅ Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship
✅ Legal and Financial Literacy
✅ Marketing Basics
✅ Business Plan Development
✅ Negotiation and Decision-Making Skills

💡 What’s next? Participants will now develop business plans and apply for grants — $5,000 for individual projects and $15,000 for group initiatives — to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses.

This initiative, driven by CEED Bulgaria and Annexure Financial Solutions, aligns with Uzbekistan’s Presidential Decree No. 317, aimed at fostering rural entrepreneurship and strengthening economic resilience.

🤝 Together, we are building a future where women-led businesses in rural areas grow, succeed, and thrive!
