FSMI in Bulgaria Project Partners Discuss Key Initiatives for Labour Migration and Integration

In May 2026, the partners of the project Functional Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria (FSMI in Bulgaria) – the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED Bulgaria) – held a working meeting dedicated to coordinating and planning upcoming project activities.

During the meeting, the partners discussed initiatives aimed at improving access to the labour market and promoting the integration of third-country nationals (TCNs) in Bulgaria. Particular attention was given to the organization of the roundtable discussion “Bulgaria Attracts Talent: Sustainable Models for Labour Migration and Integration”, which brought together representatives of public institutions, employers, academia, and civil society organizations to exchange experience and share good practices.

The meeting also reviewed the key project outputs developed to support labour migration and integration, including a report on the labour market environment for third-country nationals, a practical handbook for employers on hiring and integrating TCNs, and a dedicated job-matching platform connecting employers and job seekers.

The project partners reaffirmed their commitment to developing sustainable mechanisms for labour migration and successful integration that address both labour market needs and the aspirations of third-country nationals who choose Bulgaria as a place to live and build their careers.
