Partners in the “FSMI in Bulgaria” project discussed the final initiatives.

The partners in the “Functional and Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria” (“FSMI in Bulgaria”) project – the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development – CEED Bulgaria – held a working meeting dedicated to the upcoming initiatives in the final stage of the project.

A key focus of the meeting was the preparation for the upcoming working visit to Vietnam, which is part of the project’s international information campaign. During the visit, opportunities for legal labour migration and employment in Bulgaria will be presented.

One of these is the BG Jobs Portal – an online platform designed to facilitate connections between Bulgarian employers and third-country nationals seeking employment opportunities in Bulgaria. The platform also provides information on the administrative and legal procedures related to labour migration, employment and integration.

The working meeting also addressed preparations for the final conference of the “FSMI in Bulgaria” project, which will take place on 20 October 2026. The event will present the project’s achievements, the practical tools developed, and the key lessons learned from initiatives implemented in Bulgaria and the partner countries.

Special focus will be placed on opportunities for the sustainable use of the mechanisms and tools created under the project beyond its completion, as well as on prospects for further developing international cooperation in the field of labour migration and integration.

The “FSMI in Bulgaria” project involves international cooperation with Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Albania and Vietnam. Its main objective is to contribute to improving the exchange of information and cooperation between Bulgaria and non-EU countries in the field of labour migration and integration.

During the final stage of the project, CEED Bulgaria and its partners continue their work to promote opportunities for legal labour migration, access to the labour market and the successful integration of third-country nationals, as well as to provide Bulgarian employers with better information about the available tools and opportunities for attracting the workforce they need.

The “Functional and Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria” project brings together the efforts of partner organisations from Bulgaria and countries outside the European Union, with the shared goal of creating better conditions for informed, legal and sustainable labour migration and integration.
