On March 17, 2025, a regular meeting was held by the team of the project “Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria” (FSMI in Bulgaria). During the meeting, the partners from the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development – Bulgaria (CEED Bulgaria) and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) discussed the ongoing project activities and outlined directions for future actions.
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the launch of a survey targeting Bulgarian employers, aimed at exploring their attitudes toward hiring third-country nationals. The survey seeks to gather valuable insights on employers’ expectations, needs, challenges, and the potential benefits they associate with the employment of foreign nationals.
Why is this important?
In times of a dynamic economy and increasing competition, access to qualified labor is crucial. Understanding the procedures and requirements for hiring foreign workers can help Bulgarian businesses:
-
overcome administrative barriers;
-
gain easier access to the global talent pool;
-
build resilient teams with diverse experience and cultural perspectives.
The survey is open to employers from various regions, sectors, and industries.
