On April 24, 2025, a series of meetings were held in Khazorasp District, Khorezm Region, with local government representatives and key stakeholders as part of the implementation of Subcomponent 1.4 “Women’s Entrepreneurship Development” under the “Rural Entrepreneurship Development – Phase 2” Project.
The project was represented by Alisher Yusupov (Project Implementation Unit), Muzaffar Masharipov (Head of the Business Incubator and Mentorship Center – BIMM), Inna Rudenko (Head of the Women’s Training Component), and Otabek Imomov (Project Business Analytics Specialist). They met with the Hokim of Khazorasp District, Mr. Maksudbek Khojiyevich Abdullaev, Deputy Hokim for Investments – Botir Babaev, and Deputy Hokim for Social Affairs – Bekzod Sobirov.
The discussions focused on launching the project’s local activities, increasing awareness among the population and stakeholders, and exploring the opportunities and expected benefits for women entrepreneurs in the region.
Following the official meetings, the expert team held a session with active women and women entrepreneurs from the district, coordinated by Mukhaye Nurullaeva. During the session, participants discussed funding opportunities for their business initiatives through loans and grants provided by the World Bank, as well as their participation in upcoming training sessions and educational events to be conducted under the project until August 2027.
