CEED Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hold their first working meeting for 2026 under the “FSMI in Bulgaria” project

CEED Bulgaria, in partnership with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held the first project team meeting for 2026 under the “Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria” (FSMI in Bulgaria) project.

During the meeting, the partners discussed key issues related to the practical implementation of project activities in 2026, with a focus on sustainable solutions for the labour market and the effective integration of third-country workers.

As part of the project, on 21 January (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m., CEED Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise a regional hybrid meeting in Burgas. The event will take place at the premises of the Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (9 Bulairr St., 1st floor) and online via the Zoom platform.

The event is aimed at employers, business representatives, sectoral organisations, and non-governmental organisations interested in hiring workers from third countries. During the meeting, CEED Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will present project results and address key issues related to labour shortages and challenges facing the Bulgarian labour market.

Participation in the in-person meeting in Burgas requires prior registration via a registration form.

During the working meeting, the partners also discussed the recently activated online job search platform for third-country nationals – bgjobsportal.com. The platform offers free registration for both job seekers and employers, enabling real-time job applications, direct communication, and access to employment opportunities across Bulgaria.

Additional regional meetings under the project are planned in Plovdiv and Sofia, along with an active information campaign to promote the platform and the opportunities it provides for businesses in Bulgaria.
