CEED Bulgaria and BCCI Representatives Meet with the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Armenia

During a working visit to Yerevan, representatives of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development – Bulgaria (CEED Bulgaria) and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), partners in the project Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria (FSMI), held a meeting with H.E. Nikolay Nikolov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia.

The meeting focused on the current economic developments in Armenia and the opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Armenia. Particular attention was given to strengthening trade relations, including the import and export of agricultural products, fresh-cut flowers, alcoholic beverages, and processed foods, as well as the importance of providing businesses with timely information on emerging trade opportunities in the evolving international economic environment.

The participants also discussed the upcoming launch of a direct flight connection between Bulgaria and Armenia, which is expected to facilitate business partnerships, increase mobility, and promote tourism. Ambassador Nikolov shared information about forthcoming high-level official visits between the two countries and the planned renewal of the cooperation agreement between the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia.

As part of the visit, the delegation also met with representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia, and the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia. These meetings were organized with the valuable support of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Yerevan.

The discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the areas of labour migration, legal employment, and the integration of third-country nationals. The exchange of experience and good practices laid the foundation for future institutional partnerships and enhanced collaboration between Bulgarian and Armenian stakeholders.

The visit was carried out within the framework of the Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria (FSMI) project, which aims to foster international cooperation, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support the development of sustainable policies for legal migration and successful integration.
