As part of a working visit to Yerevan, representatives of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development – Bulgaria (CEED Bulgaria) and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), partners in the project Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria (FSMI), held a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
The meeting was opened by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Ms. Lusine Kocharyan, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing labour market challenges faced by both Armenia and Bulgaria. The meeting was also attended by H.E. Nikolay Nikolov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, who welcomed the participants and expressed his support for strengthening institutional cooperation between the two countries.
During the discussions, representatives of CEED Bulgaria and BCCI presented the objectives and activities of the FSMI project, as well as the BGJobs online platform, designed to provide reliable information on opportunities for legal employment and relocation to Bulgaria. The participants discussed the need for an active information campaign to promote the platform among potential job seekers and relevant organizations in Armenia.
Special attention was given to the current labour market situation in both countries, the shortage of workforce across various economic sectors, and the opportunities for enhanced cooperation in the areas of labour migration, legal employment, and the integration of third-country nationals.
Representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia expressed interest in the project and their willingness to support the promotion of the BGJobs platform and upcoming information initiatives. Opportunities for cooperation with competent institutions and licensed recruitment agencies in support of legal labour mobility were also discussed.
The meeting confirmed the mutual interest in deepening the partnership between Bulgaria and Armenia and created favourable conditions for future cooperation in the fields of employment, labour migration, and the exchange of good practices.
The visit was carried out within the framework of the Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria (FSMI) project, aimed at promoting sustainable mechanisms for international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the development of policies supporting legal migration and successful integration.
