CEED Bulgaria and BCCI presented the “FSMI in Bulgaria” project to HR Companies in the Republic of Moldova

During a working visit to Chisinau, representatives of CEED Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) – partners in the “Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria (FSMI in Bulgaria)” project – held meetings with leading Moldovan companies specializing in recruitment and human resources development.

The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation and on providing reliable and practical information to citizens of the Republic of Moldova interested in legal labour migration and professional opportunities in Bulgaria.

During the meetings, Stanislav Chervenkov, Executive Director of CEED Bulgaria, presented the BGjobsPortal platform, developed within the framework of the project. The platform facilitates access for foreign job seekers to up-to-date employment opportunities in Bulgaria and provides practical information on the required documents, administrative procedures, and key steps for starting work in the country.

Gabriela Dimitrova, Director of International Cooperation and International Organizations at BCCI, presented the main objectives and activities of the “FSMI in Bulgaria” project. Particular attention was given to the upcoming online information event for citizens of the Republic of Moldova, which will provide information on employment conditions in Bulgaria, occupations currently in demand, and the relevant administrative procedures.

Representatives of the Moldovan HR companies expressed interest in potential partnerships to promote BGjobsPortal and the upcoming initiatives under the project. The discussions explored concrete opportunities to reach potential candidates not only in the Republic of Moldova but also in other countries, as well as plans to organize an online information event in August.

The discussions also highlighted the bilateral agreement between Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, which provides more favourable conditions for the labour migration of Moldovan citizens to Bulgaria. The positive experience of Moldovan citizens who have already successfully entered and established themselves in the Bulgarian labour market was also shared.

The meetings confirmed the potential for strengthening cooperation between Bulgarian and Moldovan organizations in the areas of labour mobility and recruitment. Collaboration with local HR companies represents an important step towards expanding access to reliable information, promoting legal labour migration, and building stronger connections between employers in Bulgaria and potential candidates from the region.
